Primary Dance Festival at Forest Academy

On Thursday 12th June 2014, 7 children from KS2 represented JB at the Primary Dance Festival. The children were absolutely fantastic and definitely showed their dance skills. They were brilliant ambassadors for the school and should be very proud of themselves. 

Well done to all the children who participated and maybe they could teach us teachers some moves.

Thank you to Mrs Khan for organising the dances and for helping the children throughout the festival!

Redbridge Mini Games

Redbridge Mini Games

On Wednesday 4th June, it was the borough the Mini Games. We selected children from KS2 to attend and competed in Football, Kwik Cricket, Squash, Gymnastics, Handball, Basketball and a few others. They worked incredibly hard and really enjoyed themselves. They were great ambassadors for the school and they should be very proud of their efforts.

As part of our fitness activity for NSPCC, Year 3 and 4 had their very own Zumba work out. They had a great time showing off some moves and getting fit.

An Olympic Athlete arrives at JB...

What a fantastic day we have had at JB today! 

We had a very special guest who participated in London 2012 Olympics visit JB today. 

Our famous athlete was Karina Bryant. She participated for Team GB in Judo at the Olympics. 

The children completed 4 different activities to get them active and moving. 

These were:

*Press Ups

*Leg Extensions

*Spotty Dogs

*Star Jumps

Y1 classes are learning gymnastic skills with Rob every Monday.

We warmed up by playing Rabbits and then played some team games.

JB has had some fantastic news in the past couple of days about a student in year 6! 

Thimothee La-Tutla who was one if the fantastic swimmers who represented John Bramston at the 50m swimming gala has been selected to swim for Redbridge at the London Mini Games! This brilliant news for Thimothee and we all wish him the best of luck in al his events.
